Your First Visit to SD European: What to Expect & How to Prepare22 May 2025

We’re looking forward to welcoming you to SD European and taking great care of your vehicle.
To help things go smoothly, here’s a quick guide on how to prepare for your first visit.

Where to Find Us


You’ll find our Service Centre at 23 Norris Ave, Te Rapa, Hamilton — just off Bryant Road. Look out for our SD European signage and pull into the off-street customer parking.

What to Bring


Bringing a few things along can really help us get straight to work:

  • Any service history or recent repair details (if available)

  • A quick note of any issues: warning lights, noises, leaks, or performance concerns

  • Your contact details, so we can easily reach you throughout the day

  • And don’t forget to remove your house keys from the keyring before you hand over your car key!


Courtesy Cars


Need a set of wheels while your car’s with us? We offer courtesy cars at a flat rate of $30/day, which includes insurance and maintenance.
If you haven’t arranged one yet but would like to, just give us a call before your visit to book one in.


When to Arrive


Unless otherwise arranged, we recommend dropping your car off nice and early — our doors open at 7:30am. This way we can get it in the queue and fast track the work, we usually aim to complete the work before the end of the working day.
Need it back by a specific time? Just let us know at drop-off and we’ll do our best to meet your schedule.


Waiting Room


For quick jobs like WOFs or diagnostics, feel free to wait in our comfortable customer lounge with complimentary coffee.
Just give us a heads-up that you’ll be waiting, so we can schedule your job accordingly.


What If My Vehicle Needs Extra Work?


If we spot anything unexpected during your service, we’ll:

  • Call you first

  • Explain the issue and your options

  • Provide an estimate

  • Only go ahead with additional work if you give us the green light


Pickup & Payment


We’ll call or text you as soon as your vehicle is ready. You can pay at pickup by:

  • Cash or EFTPOS

  • Credit Card

  • Afterpay

  • MTF Finance
